I don't have good knowledge of Godspeed You1 Black Emperor, but what you are saying makes sense. I checked on Musicbrainz, and confusingly different versions of the album list the song variously as one or two pieces, but it seems that physical versions, along with some of the digital releases, list it as one piece, and as you point out, following streaming services is problematic in this case. In any case, we definitely don't want the same song listed in different ways, as it messes up the stats.

That said, I'm only a 'roadie' here, so I don't have any control over batch edits. As you probably know, if it's just a case of a variant title for a particular song, you can just fix one example and then request a batch edit so that the rest will be collapsed into one song, But I don't know how you would do that with a case of one song being listed as two. I'll ask in the roadie forum.

In the meantime, you could try to edit individually (using Musicbrainz as a source), or contact a moderator (the people with the blue stars after their names), as they could probably facilitate a mass edit if they agree with you. I see that 'Job's Lament' is listed 85 times, so it might be difficult to edit individually, though ,
