Sat by myself way up in the blue seats on the keyboardist side. 17 years old, took the train from Jersey. Poker was the one song that stuck with me. Probably the first time I saw lasers used in concert.
I recall it being an add on show to the Arts Center summer schedule that year. The one song that stood out was the Carolina Hard-Core Ecstasy. The solo at the end was incredible.
Blood Sweat and Tears opened the show. All I remember from Roberta Flack was First Time Ever I Saw His Face. When she did it you could hear a pin drop.
Sixth row seats on Emerson's side. I remember Emerson's keyboard setup was toned down a bit. I don't recall that huge Moog he normally toured with.
