Sammy Hagar Streamed 18-Song Birthday Bash Show From Catalina

Over the weekend Sammy Hagar & The Circle live streamed Hagar's annual big Birthday bash event, which took place in real time on October 8th at Two Harbors Beach in Catalina Island, California.

The stream for the 18-song concert was made available on October 17th via Nugs.Net. The concert itself was free but the stream was a pay-per-view event.

The special event carried many surprises, including several Van Halen covers and tributes to Eddie Van Halen, who passed away only a few days before Hagar's birthday (his birthday fell on October 13th). Hagar also got some help from two surprise guests - Rick Springfield and REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin.

Sammy & The Circle kicked off the event with "There's Only One Way to Rock." Throughout the set they played five Van Halen songs, including the live debut of "Good Enough," which was dedicated to Eddie. They also performed "Right Now" and followed it up with a moment of silence for Eddie afterward.

Springfield appeared nine songs in to perform "Jesse's Girl." Then Cronin joined with him and Hagar for a rendition of "I've Done Everything For You" followed by Speedwagon's "Roll With the Changes."

The Circle included one song off their 2019 album Space Between toward the end of the set - "Affirmation." This was followed by a "Happy Birthday" sing-a-long for Hagar before wrapping up the set with an encore of "Eagles Fly," dedicated to Eddie.
