Bob Weir Live Debuts Two Covers During Lockn' Festival 2019 Set!

All weekend long, Grateful Dead legend Bob Weir made appearances during several sets at Arrington, Virginia's annual Lockn' Musical Festival before closing out the three-day event last night, August 25th, with his band Wolf Bros.

He sat in with Twiddle on Saturday for a performance of Dead's "Eyes of the World," and then sat in with his Dead & Company bandmate Oteil Burbridge to jam on Dead staples “Weather Report Suite” > “Let It Grow” and “Cassidy.”

Bob Weir and Wolf Bro's main set at Infinity Downs Farm came on Day 3, where they performed a whopping 20-song setlist that was divided into two sets. The first set fired off with "Jack Straw" before going into two of Weir's solo favorites - "Cassidy" and "Only a River." He also worked in "Friend of the Devil" before performing a cover of Jerry Garcia's "Loser."

The first set ended with "Throwing Stones." Then a very exciting second set saw Susan Tedeschi and Mikaela Davis joining Bobby and Wolf bros for a cover-heavy performance. They started it with Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee" before Weir led the band into two live debuts of cover songs by BW!

First up was a rendition of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" by Bob Dylan, which eased into the live debut of John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery."

They ended the main set with "I Know You Rider" before coming back out to encore "Not Fade Away" and "Ripple."
