45 years ago today Aerosmith released arguably their most popular album Toys In The Attic. This release then sparked a massive world tour in 1975, where they performed just about 100 shows.

Toys In The Attic was a 9-song album that helped create a name for Aerosmith and make the band what it is today. This was the third studio album by the American rock band and was released by Columbia Records on April 8, 1975. The album sold eight million copies in the United States and was ranked number 229 on Rolling Stone’s list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The same year the album was released, Aerosmith went on the Toys In The Attic world tour. In celebration of the iconic release, we at Setlist are going to be breaking down some statistics from the tour.

During the tour, the band played six songs off of the nine-song album. These included “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Toys in the Attic,” “No More No More,” “Adam’s Apple” and “Uncle Salty.”

Aerosmith also performed a variety of covers including Tiny Bradshaw’s “The Train Kept A-Rollin’,” Bull Moose Jackson’s “Big Ten Inch Record,” Rufus Thomas’ “Walking the Dog,” Henry Mancini’s “Peter Gunn” and Neal Hefti’s “Batman Theme.”

The band’s typical setlist consisted of about 16-songs with a 4-song encore. They tended to switch up which songs they opened and closed their shows with, as well as their setlists in general, but a few that remained pretty consistent were “The Train Kept A-Rollin’” and “Sweet Emotion.”

Aerosmith’s top three most played songs of all time were all performed during this tour. Those include: “Walk This Way” at 1,644 times, “Dream On” at 1,614 times and “Sweet Emotion” at 1,606 times.
