a yes I made a 20 CD compilation of all known performances from Isle Of Wight 1970 a few years ago.

Hi there
You asked about Richie Havens performing a song called War. I've listened to his performance from Isle Of Wight 1970 and "War" seems to be a improvisational piece lasting 10minutes that has elements of "Check Out Your Mind" (by the Impressions - Curtis Mayfields group before he went solo, in fact he wrote the song) and The Temptations song "War" (the same track Edwin Starr covered).
Richie only seems to sing "Why don't you check out your mind, been with you a long long time. War What is it good for?" as well as some ad-libbing, throughout his performance.
Hope that helps you
Martin

Hi. Actually I think he was probably playing Handsome Johnny. I'm not sure where "War" came from.

No I don't know that they played Dr Feelgood for sure but all the credible sources give the setlist we have is being played. The only song from this I have ever heard is Think I Care from an audience tape. The set was probably officially recorded but with all the sound and other problems it had I doubt it has ever been released anywhere.
