1989... yes that was really great.
but also i would say the 5x5 show was the most intensive i have been to.
i was always dreaming to see the perform songs like pleasently disdurbed or thirty frames a secound. fear of gods was my favourite.... they should do it again. i dont really need to hear see the lights or hypnotizes all the time. its now up to them to find a good mixture....
anyway, it my alltime favourite band, and i will go see them whenever i can...

I didn't see them two day before...almost a month. (January 31th in Copenhagen). Jim's voice didn't have any problems then.
Your 16 times makes my 6 times seing Simple Minds look like nothing! I saw them for the first time in 1995.
My favourite gig was certainly in 2012 at the 5x5 live concerts. They had never before sounded better and more fresh and focused in my opinion. I think the old songs sounded so cool and I didn't miss "the hits" at all.

I live in Denmark so I won't be coming to Germany to hear them this year. I did see Simple Minds live in Berlin at a free concert. (Harley Davidson Days). Check it out on my profile.
