Hello

This concerns the concert of Charles Lloyd given on 25/11/2021 in Flagey.

I had initially referenced this concert: Charles Lloyd Quartet (they were 4 on stage).

Then you referenced the same concert: Charles Lloyd.

I sent a message to the moderator to make this duplicate disappear.

But there is more important:

You mention eight pieces. There were only seven.
I am formal: I attended the concert and I have the recording.

In the name of the songs, as you I had spotted the following titles:

2° = Dream Weaver
6° = Requiem
7° = La Llorona

You spotted these:
1° = The Dirge
3° = The Song My Lady Sings

For these two pieces, having compared, I confirm that it is just

But for the others it is necessary to check.
4° = LL Blue
To my knowledge, this piece is not included in Lloyd’s discography.
The songs I found with the LL Blue search do not match what was played.

5° = Beyond Darkness
If this piece is actually played on the flute, like that of the concert, I found no other resemblance in the melody of the concert and Beyond Darkness.

You announce a piece played between Requiem and La Llorona.
There hasn’t been one.
Requiem was the last track before the only recall: La Llorona.

Do you have details for the 4° and 5° pieces?
Are there any other titles that might match?

Of course, a concert is different from a record. There are artists who improvise so much that the pieces become difficult to recognize.
But at this concert, the modifications related to improvisation were only slight.
The 5 pieces identified were easily identified.
He has no particular reason to believe that the 4° and 5° have been significantly altered.

Have a nice day

Alain

Bonjour

Tu mentionnes 8 morceaux.

2° = Dream Weaver
6° = Requiem
7° = La Llorona

Tu as repéré ceux-ci :
1° = The Dirge
3° = The Song My Lady Sings

Alain
