Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness spent a great deal on tour this year in support of Upside Down Flowers. Now the singer-songwriter is gearing up for his co-headlining tour with AWOLNATION in 2020, dubbed "The Lightning Riders Tour."
We were itching to know what landed on McMahon's top concerts of 2019 both as a fan and a performer, and to have him tell us a little more about his 2020 plans! See his answers below.
What was your favorite show that YOU played this year?
My favorite show was probably this year’s benefit for the Dear Jack Foundation. I’m really fortunate to be able to use my music to raise money and awareness for young cancer patients and survivors and this year’s show featuring a special guest set from Butch Walker was a really beautiful night for a good cause.
What was your favorite show that you SAW this year?
I took my wife and daughter to see Florence and the Machine and Perfume Genius at the Santa Barbara Bowl for Mother’s Day. Florence is an artist that gets a lot of love in my house and getting to share her live show with my girls this year was really beautiful.
What do you have planned for 2020?
New music and an epic tour with AWOLnation.
