Metallica Played 14-Song Set For Helping Hands Livestream

Metallica returned to the stage for another livestream concert this weekend, bringing fans some relief as we enter what seems to be the 100th month of this pandemic.

The concert was for the All Within My Hands Benefit and Auction charity event, which took place on November 14th at their HQ in San Rafael, California. As promised, they played an acoustic set, but also surprised viewers with a 6-song electric set during the livestream!

The 8-song acoustic portion fired off with the first ever acoustic rendition of "Blackened," followed by a reimagined acoustic rendition of "Creeping Death," also the first time they ever performed this version.

They blessed the set with a couple of covers, including Deep Purple's "When a Blind Man Cries" and Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." One more acoustic rendition live debut came with "Now That We're Dead." They ended this portion of the concert with "All Within My Hands," featuring special guests and Metallica spawn Layne Ulrich and Castor Hetfield on percussion.

The surprise electric set started with a reimagined version of "Disposable Heroes," followed by the band's first ever cover of "House of the Rising Sun." Next they dusted off "Wasting My Hate" for the first time since 2011 before going into a triad of fan-favorite Metallica hits.
