The intimate concert featured around 400 fans and was held in the parking lot of the Conservatory. Flea addressed the audience by saying some words about the music school:

“Every time I walk in this place, my heart swells with joy," he continued, “If you ever had a good idea, a music school or something else that can uplift people, do it,” he continued. “I’m a dundering moron. If I can do it, anyone can do it.”

The event was hosted by comedian Marc Maron for the third year, and also featured a performance by the Silverlake Conservatory All-Stars, a collection of top students from the school.

The audience was filled with creatives like musicians Kim Gordon, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig and The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, producer Greg Kurstin, director Gus Van Zant, actor Max Greenfield, and artist Shepard Fairey. Last year's event raised more than $1 million for the school.

The Chili Peppers don't have any other show dates planned for the year. But to keep the fans occupied in the meantime, make sure to pick up a copy of Flea's memoir Acid for the Children, available on November 5th!
