59 years ago Bob Dylan cemented an anthem for the ages when he live debuted his iconic track "The Times They Are A-Changin'" at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The song would go on to be released in 1964 in his third studio album of the same name, but according to our setlist.fm archives, Dylan first introduced it to the world on October 26, 1963 right after he finished recording the album. The song captured the sign of the times as social and political upheavals defined the generation, much like it does today in 2020.
The 19-song concert itself, which opened up with the live debuted of "The Times They Are A-Changin'", featured eight other songs off the album, along with several outtakes like "Percy's Song", "Seven Curses", and "Lay Down Your Weary Tune."
The concert was recorded in its entirety but wasn't released until 2005 as a six-song live set. During the show, Dylan played several more of his staple hits such has "Blowin' in the Wind," "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall," "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," and set ender "When the Ship Comes In."
