It's the beginning of the end (of the Bandito Tour).
Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun returned to Amalie Arena in Tampa for the third time in three years last night (October 9), and it was truly one for the books.
The show kicked off the third and final North American leg of twenty one pilots' Bandito Tour, which initially began last October, with support from the NYC pop group MisterWives. Last night, they played a 28-song set that included tour debuts, guest appearances and deep, deeeeeep cuts.
Here are the highlights:
The first surprise of the night came early: they opened with "Jumpsuit" with a new intro. And those pyrotechnics? Wig=snatched.
They proceeded with "Levitate" and surprised fans yet again with a tour debut of "Heavydirtysoul," which they haven't played live since 2017!
Other tour debuts included "House of Gold," "Screen/The Judge," "Migraine," "Tear In My Heart" and "Guns for Hands" for the first time since 2017, and "Semi-Automatic" and "Fall Away" for the first time since 2015. The latter also included a familiar face: Jesse Blum from MisterWives!
That's right – the MisterWives trumpeter lended his lips to the Twenty One Pilots track, and the rest of the band followed suit to sing and dance during "Cut My Lip."
Other Trench songs included "Bandito," "Chlorine," "Morph," "My Blood," "Nico and the Niners," "Pet Cheetah," "Smithereens" and "The Hype."
