Check Out Setlist Predictions for U2's The Joshua Tree Tour 2019

Brace yourself. After a nearly year-long hiatus from the road, rock legends U2 are finally preparing for yet another leg of The Joshua Tree Tour. Since the tour’s opening in May, 2017, U2 has completed an entirely different run deemed the Experience + Innocence Tour throughout 2018. That’s right, despite the jump from one tour to the next, U2 has decided to revamp The Joshua Tree Tour for a 2019 run.

Evidently, the Irish natives are known as a touring band as they’ve taken few prolonged hiatuses since their original formation in the late 1970s. With the ability to sell out nearly every city across the globe, it’s easy to understand why such a well-known group would continue to thrive on the road. And with the recent success of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, the band has decided to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary yet again as they are scheduled to hit New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, The Philippines and India through December.

Following the announcement back in May, Bono had a few words to say about revamping The Joshua Tree Tour two years later.

“Our audience has given The Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour. Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion — And now we get to do it all over again. Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Mumbai… We're coming for you."

Clearly, the band enjoyed themselves back in 2017 and are ready to bring a new energy into a previous tour. Of course, fans as dedicated as the U2 audience have their own opinion on what they want to hear on this upcoming tour.

As to be expected, we can almost guarantee that the Grammy-Award winners will perform The Joshua Tree album in its entirety sometime during the set. Furthermore, in typical U2 fashion, fans should anticipate a multi-part set, especially considering the album performance alone. However, this will also likely include more than one encore in addition to the main set, so prepare for a longer show time.

Yet, when it comes to song choice beyond The Joshua Tree, it’s a bit harder to scope out. Fortunately, we have a bit of insight when it comes to this upcoming leg. Check out all of our setlist predictions for U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 here!
