Bon Jovi Finally Wraps This House Is Not for Sale Tour in Peru!

It’s official. Bon Jovi has finally wrapped on their This House Is Not for Sale tour… for now. As of this moment, there are no scheduled dates on this tour moving forward; however that doesn’t say too much considering the tour has been running since February 2017. While the legendary American rock band has had long-running tours in the past, nothing beats this most recent run.

Originally launched in support of their 2016 album This House Is Not for Sale, the tour of the same name hit countless cities around the world over the course of six consecutive legs. In total, the tour produced close to one-hundred shows in just over two years. Fortunately, the band did have some down time as they secured multiple hiatuses in between legs. It’s hard to imagine that long of a tour without breaks. Yet, with talent as big as Bon Jovi, we wouldn’t put it past them either.

Bon Jovi Tweets About End of 2019 Tour

While it’s sad to think this massive feat has come to an end, it somehow feels right as the band recently announced an upcoming album deemed Bon Jovi: 2020. So despite the fact that one chapter has come to a close, fans have yet another album to look forward to.

With a total of fourteen studio albums or better yet, fourteen masterpieces under their belt, Bon Jovi has proven over and over again exactly why they have earned their legendary status. And let’s not forget that twelve of the fourteen albums have gone platinum or multi-platinum since their original release.

But do we really need to keep praising Bon Jovi? It’s safe to say that Jon Bon Jovi and company will forever go down in history as one of the most successful rock bands of all time. So how did the This House Is Not for Sale tour stack up to their history? Well, let’s just say it was unforgettable, and their last concert in Lima, Peru perfectly summed it all up.

Bon Jovi Tweets About Lima Show 2019

Playing at the enormous Estadio Nacional stadium, Bon Jovi called on friends and co-legends the Goo Goo Dolls as support for the show and they did not disappoint. However, in the end, Bon Jovi stole the show just as they did all tour long and that began with production.

Considering the venues needed to support such a large fan base, you can only imagine how big the stage was this tour. And with multiple tiers to accentuate, the backdrop monitor was one of the biggest you’ll ever see out on the road. In terms of content, the monitor served two purposes — to display artwork for individual songs and to enlarge the band on stage. And don’t get us started on the lights. Just the sheer number of lights alone was a feat in and of itself. But what else would you expect from a band as big as Bon Jovi?

In regard to the setlist, it’s a bit harder to talk about the tour in its entirety as the rock legends changed their set throughout much of the trek. According to our setlist.fm data, number by number, Bon Jovi played more songs off of This House Is Not for Sale than any other album. Although, that shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise considering the tour of the same name was launched in support of that very album.

At the final show in Lima, the seventeen-song setlist was well versed with a mix of songs from every Bon Jovi era. With the exuberant audience in the palms of their hands, Bon Jovi continued to feed the fire with even bigger hits like “We Got It Goin’ On,” “Keep the Faith,” “It’s My Life” and “Lay Your Hands On Me” before ending off the main set with two of their most-played songs live “Wanted Dead or Alive” and “Bad Medicine.”

You didn’t think that would be it, did you? What would a Bon Jovi show be without a classic encore. As over forty-thousand fans yelled towards stage, begging the New Jersey natives to play one final tune, Bon Jovi returned to stage rejuvenated for two.

Featuring the 1987 classic “I’ll Be There For You” alongside the crowd favorite 1986 hit “Livin’ On a Prayer,” Bon Jovi somehow ended off the show more impressively than they started. We guess that’s what nearly four decades of practice will teach you.
