Warren Haynes Kicks Off Drive-In Shows w/ Covers & Special Guests

Warren Haynes has sparked some joy back into music fans' lives with a 5-night concert run at the South Farms in Morris, Connecticut. Known for his legendary work with the Allman Brothers Band and Gov't Mule, Haynes has a lot to offer.

The socially distanced show kicked off on September 12th with a 20-song setlist that was divided between two sets. It opened up with "Don't Know Where We're Going (But We'll Get There)" and "News Year Even" before diving into the first cover of the night - George Harrison's "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth.)"

The set was mostly made up of covers, enlisting help from Gov't Mule bandmate Danny Louis who joined in on "Hattiesburg Hustle" and stayed for most of both sets. They did two Mule songs including set one ender "Banks of the Deep End."

The second set was blessed with covers like "Wasted Time" by Eagles and Allman Brothers Band song "Come and Go Blues." Haynes did an unforgettable encore of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Cortez the Killer."
