Tour Update: Keane Is Releasing A New Album, 'Cause And Effect'

Bedshaped
"There's a song called "Bedshaped" off the first record. The other night we played it and I just felt like I sang it so well and I felt so in the song. And I remembered what it was I loved about the song when we first started playing it."

Data and Setlist
"You can now log on to whatever streaming service and find statistics for what people listen to the most and what they love and it's an amazing sort of resource to have. When we were first talking about what to play and what not to play, we just sort of thought we'd have a quick look. Twenty minutes of looking at all these numbers and things- oh we should really do this or do that. But then also trying to fit in the new songs, kind of a daunting prospect when you first sit down and try to plan the setlist."
"Some shows are 45 minutes and some shows are nearly 2 hours, trying to get the balance right is quite a challenge."

Mick's Thust
"We were playing at the Isle of Wight Festival in the UK, and The Rolling Stones were on after us. And there was- well all the members of the band call it the 'ego ramp' because it's for the singer. It was meant for Mick. And it had all been covered with drapes and stuff- and it said "do not go on Mick's thrust." And it went miles out into the crowd and I come out half way through the set and I'm like you know what, I think I'm gonna go on Mick'sn thrust, and I just went straight out. You know, this is a particularly big festival where crowds can go miles back and it engages more people. "
"I'm sure if Tim was here he'd be doing little Mick Jagger impressions. I'm sure someone sends us a note saying don't worry about it, you're forgiven- we don't mind or whatever."
