After spending much of their summer in Europe, Metallica is headed back out on the road for a list of dates down under. Kicking off on October 17, the legendary rock band will trek across Australia and New Zealand for eight stadium shows on their WorldWired Tour.
Thus far, the WorldWired Tour has consisted of over one-hundred and fifty shows and has lasted nearly three years long. Originally opening in 2016 in support of their most recent album Hardwired...to Self-Destruct, the WorldWired Tour has given fans numerous opportunities to witness the pure genius of a live Metallica show.
From production, featuring pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art moving cubed monitors, to once-in-a-lifetime performances, Metallica has yet to fail at pleasing their die-hard crowds throughout the entirety of this tour.
Of course, while their polished showmanship and continuous catalogue of hits ensure nothing but entertainment at every show, it’s hard to imagine how James Hetfield (guitar & vocals), Lars Ulrich (drums), Kirk Hammett (guitar) and Robert Trujillo (bass) create such a perfect setlist every night. Although the metal pioneers are not known for drastically changing the setlist on every leg, with ten studio albums and countless singles released since their formation in 1983 it seems nearly impossible to put together the right combination.
However, as difficult as it may be, fans across Australia and New Zealand are waiting in setlist anticipation. Fortunately for all you fans down under, we are here to take a crack at Metallica’s upcoming setlist for the latest WorldWired run. Check out all of our setlist predictions here!
