Bob Weir & Wolf Bros Kickoff 2019 Sept Run - See 21 Song Setlist

Grateful Dead legend and guitarist Bob Weir is taking no breaks in between Dead & Company tours as he recently joined John Mayer on stage to perform a couple songs in San Francisco, and then kicked off a four-concert, September run with the Wolf Bros last night, the 19th, at Humphreys in San Diego, California. The short run will end with a set at the Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Festival on September 22nd.

Accompanying Bob Weir is bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane of Wolf Bros. The trio performed two sets that highlighted Grateful Dead's expansive catalog. The opened up the night with "The Music Never Stopped" and then did a reprise of it after performing Rob Wasserman's "Easy Answers" and "Standing on Shaky Ground" by Temptations in between.

Then they went into Bob Dylan's "When I Paint My Masterpiece" before doing a Weir original - "Gonesville" 2016’s Blue Mountain. The rest of the first set included the traditional “Deep Elem Blues." They closed it out on four Dead tracks, ending with a bang on "Saint of Circumstance" before they dispersed for a 30 minute break.

Set two got underway with a cover of the Beatles' "Blackbird." Other covers included "Fever" by Eddie Cooley which was interlaced with "Truckin'." They did some other beloved Dead cuts like "Scarlet Begonias" and the raunchy Weir-penned track "I Need a Miracle." They ended the second set on two covers - Dylan's " A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" and Henry Witter's "Going Down the Road Feelin' Bad."

The trio came back to encore with "Ripple" before dipping out. See the full, 21-song setlist below!
