Obviously best known as part of the legendary rock group, KISS, Simmons has been The Demon/co-lead singer and bassist of the group since 1974.

Here at setlist.fm, we're going to celebrate Gene Simmons by taking a dive into our database to explore a setlist Simmons played with KISS on his birthday (August 25) in 1990. Let's go!

Simmons and the rest of the rock titans played a show at Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 25, 1990–meaning Simmons turned 41 years young that day. The concert that evening featured a 22-song setlist which included a 2-song encore.

The show opened with "I Stole Your Love" before closing out the main set with "Detroit Rock City." The encore opened with "I Want You" and the show finale was none other than their classic hit, "Rock and Roll All Nite." Considering it was Simmons' birthday, the band squeezed a rendition of "Happy Birthday" into their performance of "I Love It Loud" to honor Gene Simmons on his 41st trip around the sun.
