The Chainsmokers are ready to have themselves a crazy 2019 Fall schedule. The DJ and production duo (Drew Taggart and Alex Pall) are gearing up for their new massive world tour: "The World War Joy Tour," named after their upcoming album. The World War Joy album is yet to have an official release date, but it's the followup to their 2018's Sick Boy and 2017's Memories...Do Not Open.
The North American leg of their tour is approaching quickly; with a kick off date of September 25th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Taggart and Pall will be hitting stops in Chicago, Nashville, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and many more cities before the leg wraps on December 6th in Vancouver, BC. The duo described this upcoming tour and album to iHeart Radio:
"The 'World War Joy Tour' is named after our current album that we are still finishing called World War Joy. The whole concept about the name is...over the past couple of years we['ve] found ourselves in the state of chaos. But, we're also living a life that we dreamed of living. So, we're constantly pushing ourselves, we're constantly in a battle with ourselves, with ourselves' identity...And at the same time, it's the best time ever. We felt like World War Joy kind of summarized how we feel about everything right now."
The Chainsmoker boys are also bringing along their friends and recent collaborators: 5 Seconds of Summer and Lennon Stella, becoming the "biggest artists that have ever come on tour with [them]."
"The World War Joy Tour" is already becoming one of the biggest tours of the year, and it has yet to even start.
