Way Out West Festival in Gottenburg, Sweden featured a headlining set from Blonde artist Frank Ocean. The elusive hero of urban introverts appeared earlier this month accompanied by a fully-loaded string orchestra. SO ARTSY.
The Swedes and tourists able to make the trek enjoyed classy renditions of "Good Guy", "Self Control", "Wither", "Close to You", "Never Can Say Goodbye" (Jackson 5 Cover), "Ivy" and "Pink + White".
While the orchestra is the obvious highlight, the full setlist was a magical mix of Blonde and channelORANGE favorites for all of Frank's fanboys and gals.
For those of us who were locked in stateside, Ocean also played New York's Panorama Festival and FYF in Los Angeles accompanied by stunning visuals.
FYF got a surprise "What's Up" from Brad Pitt:
NYC may have gotten Frank only, but here's the full, beautiful Panorama performance:
Frank Ocean has been performing at festivals in Europe and the US behind his latest release, Blonde. Prior to 2017, he had not performed live for three years or released an album for five years. If you missed him this summer, there aren't any touring plans announced yet, and honestly, it's Frank! So it's hard to say when he'll perform again. But be honest, that's what you love about him and his art.
