Tupac Played 9-Song Set at His Last Concert on This Day in 1996

As many of you celebrate the July 4th holiday, today is an important day for other reasons, particular in the rap and music community. In 1996, it was the last known performance by Tupac Shakur before his death on September 13th, 1996.

The hip hop legend stepped off a plane from Italy and into West Hollywood, California to perform a 9-song setlist with the Outlawz at the House of Blues. Snoop Dogg was billed as a headlining act that night too.

2Pac took the stage with some of his best hits, opening up with "Ambitionz az a Ridah" and playing "Troublesome," "Hit 'Em Up" and "All Bout U" among others. Toward the end of the set, Pac was joined by K-Ci & JoJo, who did an a cappella version of Jodeci's "Freek'n You" before they all performed set ender "How Do U Want It."

Snoop Dogg then took the stage to perform his set with Tha Dogg Pound. Then, Pac came back to encore "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" with the Death Row Records fam - Snoop, Tha Dogg Pound, Outlawz, Nate Dogg, and K-Ci & JoJo. This would be Tupac's very last song he ever performed in public.

The performance is featured in the 2017 biopic "All Eyez On Me."

RIP FOREVER 2PAC.
