Last night, July 30th, Code Orange unveiled their magical, MTV Unplugged-inspired livestream concert, titled Under the Skin. They performed a 10-song set at Pittsburgh's Theatre Factory, and it was streamed via their Twitch channel.
The show kicked off with Headbangers Ball-style pre-show called Mudbangers Ball, fully channeling the '90s vibes by enlisting the actual HB host from the 1990s, Riki Rachtman, to interview them ahead of the concert.
Once the show started, Code Orange revisited tracks from their back catalogue and performed stripped back renditions of the beloved deep cuts.
They lifted off the set with "Bleeding in the Blur" and weaved in songs like "Who I Am," "Ugly," and further embraced the nostalgic vibe with a cover of Alice In Chain's "Down in a Hole."
They also worked in newer song "Sulfur Surrounding" off of their latest album Underneath, followed by a partial performance of the album's title track. They ended the set on rare gem "Hurt Goes On."
