Brad Paisley Kicks Off Live From The Drive-In with 26-Song Sets

While we're still in the middle of a pandemic, it's nice to have some kind of normalcy and this past weekend was a return to form... of sorts.

Live Nation's Live from the Drive-In Concert series kicked off over the weekend at host cities Indianapolis, Nashville and St.Louis. Each city featured a concert every night from July 10 - 12 with Brad Paisley headlining a show every single night of the weekend. Fans packed in the drive-in concerts, maintaining safely socially distancing guidelines in the process, of course. Each car was given 10 feet of space which including parking and a private area they could step out to and jam along in.

Other artists playing shows at the drive-in series over the weekend included Yacht Rock Revue and Jon Pardi in Indianapolis, Darius Rucker and Jon Pardi in Nashville and El Monstero and Nelly in St. Louis. Nelly was celebrating the 20th Anniversary Celebration of his hit album, Country Grammar.

Taking a dive into our setlist.fm data, Darius Rucker performed a 21-song setlist on July 12 at the Nissan Stadium parking lot in Nashville, Tennessee. While there are several cuts we're unsure of, most of the setlist is filled out and it's got hits, covers and Hootie!

Rucker's hit cover of Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel" was part of the 3-song encore which closed with a rendition of Prince's "Purple Rain." The Hootie & the Blowfish classics "Let Her Cry" and "Only Wanna Be With You" made the main setlist along with covers of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" and John Mellencamp's "Pink Houses."

While Brad Paisley headlined shows at all three cities over the weekend, our setlist.fm database only has the full setlist from his Nashville show available. Paisley's drive-in concert at Nissan Stadium parking lot on July 11, 2020 packed in a 25-song setlist that featured a 2-song encore, opening the show with "Crushin' It" and wrapping it all up with his song "Alcohol." A special appearance from Carrie Underwood happened during "Remind Me" in which Underwood appears on the big screens from a remote location.
