Photos + Highlights of 2018 Forecastle Festival

This past weekend, in Louisville, Kentucky, everyone from Chris Stapleton and Father John Misty to T-Pain and Vic Mensa helped complete the impressive and eclectic lineup that made up Forecastle 2018. This was the 17th year of the festival and it did not disappoint. We are trying to relive our weekend at Forecast so check out our favorite moments from this weekend below!

Day One

Father John Misty
John Tillman, known as Father John Misty, took the Main Stage Friday night with a performance that seemed to entertain himself almost as much as it did the crowd. He performed a 16-track setlist that drew mainly from his new album God's Favorite Costumer. FJM let the crowd witness his sentimentality and seriousness during his performances of “Please Don’t Die” and “Pure Comedy” and additionally when he stopped a song after seeing a fan suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion. Check out his full setlist from Forecastle 2018 below:

Modest Mouse
Festival veterans, Modest Mouse, took the stage with their deep catalog to close out the first day. The band had the crowd hooked from the second they hit the stage with "The World at Large." They then dove into some of their newer stuff before circling back to "Tiny Shades of Ashes" off their 2000 LP The Moon & Antartica to close out their set. Day Two

T-Pain
T-Pain took the stage with his early 2000's hits that are still lingering in the back of all of our minds. The MC got thousands of fans to collectively lose their mind as he brought out his highly missed hits like “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin)” and “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper).” Check out his banger after banger setlist below:

Jimmy Eat World
Fans from all over the state of Kentucky could probably hear the Jimmy Eat World crowd as they sang “whoa-oh-oh oh-oh-oh” with the band for their performance of "Sweetness." The band then followed that with an equally headbanging/lose yourself performance of "Middle" to close out their set.
Chris Stapleton
The country singer is one of the only one's in his genre that can headline a multi-genre music festival and also attract one of the biggest crowds of the weekend. Check out fan-footage of his performance of "Millionaires" below:

Day Three

White Reaper
The punk band put on the only set of the weekend that was shotgunning beers and kissing fans in the mosh pitch. They gathered a rather young but prominent crowd for the Sunday Main Stage performance. Check out fan-footage from their third time performing at Forecastle:

Arcade Fire
Arcade Fire closed out the 2018 Forecastle with the biggest production the weekend had seen. Their two-hour set was a visual spectacle filled with lasers, video walls and a seemingly endless amount of instruments. The band played a 19-track setlist that included their rarely played track “Half Light II (No Celebration)” off their 2010 LP The Suburbs. Check out their full setlist from their closing set below:
