It's been a very long past few months. With numerous tour postponements and show cancellations, it seemed like it would be forever before we get into another concert in the flesh again. Well, our prayers have been answered and it looks like the show must go on!
Live Nation has announced their Live From the Drive-In concert series, a unique drive-in concert experience taking place at amphitheater parking lots beginning in July. The concerts will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, Nashville, Tennessee and Indianapolis, Indiana from July 10 - 12. Country music superstar Brad Paisley will headline shows in all three cities. The Nashville will also feature Darius Rucker and Jon Pardi at Nissan Stadium. Nelly and El Monstero are set to play in St. Louis while Pardi is set to make another appearance alongside Yacht Rock Revue for the Indianapolis shows.
Tom See, President of Live Nation Venues reveals what fans can expect from the Live From the Drive-In experience in a statement from Live Nation:
"We're giving you what's about the size of a double-car garage to where you're going to be able to park your car, get out of your car, and have a great tailgating hang for you and your friends, and listen to music through proper professional PA and amazing audio and video display. It's really a different aspect of drive-in and live. It's highly experiential."- Tom See
Tickets will be available to purchase per car, with a maximum of four (4) people permitted per car. Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, June 23rd at 12PM local time until Thursday, June 25th at 10PM local time through Citi Entertainment®.
