Spoiling You with Weird Al's Strings Attached Tour and Setlist

After a year since his last tour, a stripped down affair with original tracks, Weird Al Yankovic has returned to the tour in full force with all his thrills, frills and much more to make the occasion truly "MAJESTIC"!

The frills not only include all of Weird Al's staple costumes, props, and stage production, but as the name suggests, an entire orchestra, local to each city, to really amplify the song parodies to its fullest effect. Normally, the orchestra is a 41-piece, but Weird Al always has something up his sleeves - like a 71-PIECE orchestras at select dates!

As critics describe it, the show is "classy meets wacky" and the packed out, to sold-out shows on this tour are hard proof that the musical clown is more coveted than ever. Let's be real, in times like these, we need the Prince of Parodies to give us an escape.

The tour's setlist is comprised of both originals AND rarities in addition of the classic parodies. Curious to know what he's been pulling out of his hat? Let's get right to it then!

How many songs does he perform each night?

Weird Al and his backing orchestra manage to gift each city with 21 songs (including the warm-up set songs)!

What is the "Orchestra warm-up set"?

Every night, the local orchestra starts the night with a warm-up set before the real show gets started. They perform two John Williams songs - "The Raiders March" and "Theme From Superman" as well as "Mission: Impossible."

What song does the main show open with?

Weird Al starts things off with a medley of "I Lost of Jeopardy" "I Love Rocky Road" and "Like a Surgeon."

Which originals does he do?

Does he still change costumes throughout the show?

Yes! The master jokester really does an ace job at bringing the stories of his parodies to life to give fans an all-encompassing stage show experience!

Does his original band still perform with him too?

Yes, it's not just the orchestra. Accompanying Yankovic and the orchestra is three backup singers and his longtime house band: Steve Jay (bass), Jim "Kimo" West (guitar), Rubén Valtierra (keys), and Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz (drums).

Which parodies does he do?

Almost all of his staples! You'll hear "Like a Surgeon," "Smells Like Nirvana" and "Amish Paradise" among others.
