Bompton rapper YG has revealed his third studio album, Stay Dangerous, will be arriving August 3rd.
Known for his allegiance to the West [B]oast and hatred of the letter "C", YG has been warning us to "stay dangerous" for some time now. After [b]ryptic billboards began appearing around Los Angeles, it became [b]lear the rapper was teasing a forthcoming project.
"Listen, I got a public service announcement and then I got one more mother******* song," the rapper stated at his NBA All-Star Weekend's "The Boogie" event. "If y'all one of my real fans, y'all gon' be really mother******* happy about this sh**. It's been a long time coming. My new mother******* album on the mother******* way, Stay Dangerous, got damn it."
Stay Dangerous will follow 2016’s Still Brazy and will feature singles “Suu Whoop” and summer banger “Big Bank," which just received a star-studded video treatment. The song enlists production from DJ Mustard and guest verses from 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj - who may all be seen stunting hard in the grandiose video below.
The heavy-hitter cast united to perform the song live for the first time at the BET Awards last weekend. The set recreates elements from the video as YG dons an all-pink iteration of his dollar-dipped velvet suit, and Nicki brings a classic “Barbs” performance while riding her life-sized glitter pink horse prop. YG surprised fans earlier this month by shutting down Fairfax Ave. for a pop-up performance of "Suu Whoop", and even brought out Big Sean to perform his verse off "big Bank." Though he's kept fans quite engaged, it's evident this summer is their time to eat.
YG will hold an exclusive Stay Dangerous listening party on June 28th in San Francisco, and an official album release [b]oncert and 4Hunnid fashion show on August 5th in Los Angeles.
