Guns N' Roses have been at it for 30+ years, and it seems like they're always on tour. They just kicked off the European leg of their 'Not in this Lifetime' tour, where the sets have been lasting hours and capping at 26 songs.
The setlists have included every single one of their top hits like "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Paradise City," "Mr. Brownstone," and their famous cover of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." They've also rounded it out with other covers like "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd, and "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. And for the first time, they played a rendition of "Slither" by Velvet Revolver, a supergroup with GNR bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Slash.
During their performance in Odense, Denmark last week, the band pulled out an oldie but goodie, "Shadow of Your Love" off of 1987's Appetite for Destruction. It was the first time they performed the track since June 22, 1987 and will be re-released on the upcoming Super Deluxe version of the Appetite reissue, due out on June 29.
Pulling out this track from their vault has got our selfish fan egos riled up and wanting to request more. Guns N' Roses are so good about playing their hits, but the band has plenty of deep cuts that we think deserve more attention. Playing a song they hadn't played since 1987 has got us hoping they'll be revisiting a few more, and we have some suggestions for which ones. Check it out.
