The Killers Share New Song "Dying Breed" During Livestream

The Killers were set to perform a livestream for fans on April 18 but as the ball got rolling on the One World: Together At Home concert special, organized by Global Citizen and Lady Gaga, the guys were added to the lineup. Thus, they rescheduled their livestream to April 24.

Well, the day has come. Hitting their Instagram Live, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr teamed up to bring fans a 30+ minute livestream. Not only did the guys play live music, but they engaged with fans by answering questions they sent in.

The livestream opened with a performance of "Be Still," lifted from their 2012 studio album Battle Born. With Vannucci on the guitar and Flowers taking the keys and a mic, the guys left me absolutely floored. Flowers' vocals, as perfect as ever, gave me goosebumps the entire time.

After answering a few questions from fans, the guys pulled a brand new song out for fans. While they didn't perform it live, they did play "Dying Breed" from their upcoming new studio album Imploding the Mirage, marking the first-ever stream of the new song! They also shared a snippet of another new song titled "My Own Soul's Warning," and if I'm being honest, this new Killers record is shaping up to be one of their best.

Watching Vannucci and Flowers may just be the best thing that happens today so don't miss your chance to watch the livestream in its entirety. You can listen to "Dying Breed" starting at the 22:00 mark below, and catch the snippet of "My Own Soul's Warning" at the 28:30 mark.

Once the stream was over, the guys shared that they would like to do it again and would keep fans informed on their next livestream. Hopefully they don't make us wait too long because I could watch them talk and play music 24/7.

Check out the setlist below and keep an ear out for their sixth studio album Imploding the Mirage, due May 29 via Island Records.
