How have you / your band been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic?

I had many shows that have gotten cancelled due to Covid-19. I also had a trip booked to LA to film music videos and for other shoots that had to get cancelled as well. This is all unfortunate but necessary as we figure out how to stop the spread of the virus.

Paint us a picture of your current headquarters

I’m back in my hometown! I usually work in my basement and I get to see my family a lot more which is amazing. I have a microphone set up to keep working on demos and I also brought my keyboard with me as well. Whenever I need to shoot a video, I find a nice place in the house to set up and I try to switch it up as much as possible to ensure that it’s not always the same background.

What activities have you been doing to keep yourself busy?

I have been engaging a lot with my fans on my socials! I’ve gotten to talk to many of them through my livestreams and answer questions that they have! I have also been writing a lot, finishing up old demos, and working on future releases. I have also been spending time with my family and working on myself, too.

What movies and TV have you been watching?

I haven’t been watching too much TV to be honest, but I watched My Neighbor Totoro with my little sister and it was such a cute movie!

What music or podcasts have you been listening to?

I have been listening to The Weeknd and Dua Lipa’s new albums! Both their albums are so amazing.

The Weeknd - After Hours

Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia

Are you planning on tuning into or producing any livestream performances?

I recently had my first livestream show on YouTube!

How can fans support you in this time of tour postponements and social distancing?

Fans can just continue being their lovely selves! They have all been so supportive and sending such kind messages through social media. I also see that they are being very creative with their edits! Some show off their amazing talents and some show their sense of humour, that never fail to make me laugh! They can continue to stream my music!

What’s your best song for getting through a scary/confusing time?

My latest release “Wake Me When It’s Over” or “This Mountain.”

What are a few of your best songs for an at-home workout playlist?

“This Mountain,” “Battle,” and “Tears of Gold.”

Where can fans get the latest info and updates from you?

They can follow me on my socials @faouzia on Twitter/ @faouziaofficial on Instagram :)
