Paul Stanley Checks In From Home With 3 Classic KISS Song Riffs

KISS singer and guitarist Paul Stanley has been treating fans with his latest live concert videos from his home. No mask though, sorry KISS Army!

Earlier today, the frontman uploaded a video of him performing three classic riffs from the band’s extensive discography. The video has garnered over 30,000 views so far, giving hope that Stanley will continue these lone performances as the days go on.

The 13-minute clip started off with Stanley sitting down and addressing fans in a way that seemed both informal and intimate. He was surrounded by his home studio equipment with a guitar balanced on his lap. Stanley took time to speak to the online audience:

"It's funny because somebody, a couple of days ago, had gotten in touch with me and said, 'Why aren't you spending more time doing these videos and get 'em really, really great — get the performances great, get the singing great, the guitar playing great?' I said, 'Because the people I'm doing it for know that's not what it's about. This isn't a performance, it's not a concert, it's not a recital — it's me and you hanging out. And that means that —is it perfect? Hell no. But we get to have some fun. I get to have some fun.”

Stanley also shed some light on the number of essential workers—doctors, hospital workers, sanitation workers, supermarket employees, law enforcement and delivery drivers—who are working under mostly horrific conditions to make sure the world is still revolving amid COVID-19.

He pulled two classic hits from KISS' second studio album, Hotter Than Hell: “Hotter Than Hell” and “Got To Choose.” The third track he played came from the iconic 1976 Rock and Roll Over record, “Makin’ Love.”

Fans reveled in the one-on-one session they received of their favorite classic songs. Be sure to subscribe to the band’s channel to stay tuned on some of the members’ future performances!
