New Taylor Swift Music Is Coming April 26, Here's What We Know!

On Friday night (April 12) Taylor Swift quietly launched a countdown on her official website www.taylorswift.com that's set to hit zero on April 26. No official word on what the countdown is leading to but my guess is that the new era is nearly upon us and I'm officially freaking out. Here's what we know so far...

Her official website is displaying a new name logo and a new color scheme – gone are the blacks and dark reds of the Reputation era, replaced by cloudy pastel hues of pinks, purples, greens and blues.

Exhibit B? Why perhaps the most substantial piece of evidence cleverly hidden in plain sight. In early March Taylor Swift did an editorial piece for Elle Magazine titled "30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30" and guess what lucky number 26 was?

"I make countdowns for things I'm excited about." - Taylor Swift's No. 26 of 30 things she learned before turning 30

The countdown clock hits zero on April 26, folks! Am I reading too much into this or was Taylor dropping hints as early as March? The girl is a marketing genius so make what you will of it.

Next up, there's been a noticeable transition of the color scheme on her Instagram posts. In February of this year she began posting in the pretty pastel colors that echo the same colors of her website – see exhibit C below!

It seems a little premature for a new era considering the span between 1989 and Reputation was just over 3 years and it's only been a year and a half since Reputation but if this is the real deal, we are ready because honestly it feels like it's been forever since we've had new music from Swift!

Update: By the time I was done writing this blog post, sightings of countdowns have appeared on the sides of buildings and such in Australia and Japan and will likely be all over the world in a few hours. #TS7 invasion is truly happening!!!
