Marquee Memories: Frank Iero and Watsky Reflect On Seeing The Smashing Pumpkins Live
Watsky
"We're playing later in the day at the Dour Festival in Belgium. When I was playing the festival, one of the cool things about being on earlier in the day at a big festival is you get to become a fan after that."
"I don't know if this has changed over the years cause this is the one time I saw them live, but Billy Corgan did not move around a lot. It's pretty much like planted at his mic and singing, but it was incredibly powerful. The stage presence that he had, the way that he connected with the crowd. I mean it was pure rockstar and he didn't have to do that much."
"It was illuminating to me cause I bounce around the stage a lot. I'm moving around. I'm engaging with the crowd. That really was a mind-blowing live show to see."

Frank Iero
"First time I was supposed to The Pumpkins was way back when Mellon Collie came out. A friend of mine won tickets on the radio. Called me immediately after and was like "We're going to see The Pumpkins!" We got to see the infinite sadness tour. It was unreal."
"I mean Pumpkins are one of my favorite bands of all time. I think they're fantastic and I don't know anybody who doesn't like The Pumpkins or at least if they don't they appreciate The Pumpkins so much. I mean Billy's a genius. Everybody in that band is a mother f****r that can play their instruments so unbelievably well."
"Getting to see them on this anniversary tour was amazing too because they got to do songs from the entire career and then also I think they ended with Joy Division covers. It was a great show. It was a great show."
