Concert of the Day: Radiohead's 24-Song Set at Best Kept Secret

We're all feeling the pain that comes with not being able to attend a live concert as we collectively quarantine ourselves and shelter from COVID-19. Not to worry though, artists and musicians are paying it back to the fans by either putting on live stream concerts from their homes and playing intimate, rare sets; OR, in the case of artists like Dead & Company, Phish, and Radiohead, musicians are unlocking special live videos from past iconic concerts.

So, while it's Friday night and there's no where you can actually go, as a certified Setlist expert, I'm recommending a Concert of the Day for you to cue up and enjoy. Today's show is Radiohead's June 18, 2017 set from their two-hour, headlining performance at Best Kept Secret music festival in the Netherlands.

The performance is playing on their recently launched Radiohead Public Library. It was a stop on the band's last major tour - the 2016-2017 trek that supported their last album release, A Moon Shaped Pool.

The hefty setlist carries 24 songs and presents two encores. They opened with the tour's consistent set starter - "Daydreaming." The set was parallel to most of the setlists from that year, doing songs off the new LP like "Ful Stop," "Identikit," "The Numbers," and more.

Throughout the performance they also played several other tracks from their historic catalog like "15 Step," "Pyramid Song," "Everything in its Right Place," "Idioteque," "Exit Music (For a Film)," and much more - making up 17 songs in the main set.

The first encore featured 5 songs, it opens with "Nude" and ends with "Reckoner." It also carried one of their bigger hit songs - "Paranoid Android."

The second encore was when the iconic rockers drifted from the typical setlist order and performed "Lotus Flower," and then ended the set with "There There."

On the Moon Shaped Pool Tour, "Daydreaming" and "Ful Stop" were the most performed songs. They performed deep cuts "Blow Out" and "These Are My Twisted Words" only once on the trek. Beloved, older hits like "Fake Plastic Trees," "My Iron Lung," "Creep," "Talk Show Host," "Morning Mr. Magpie," "Planet Telex," and "House of Cards" were performed at only a handful of shows.

We hope you enjoy getting lost in the two-hour performance and letting go of your troubles for a wink. Radiohead possess that kind of magic, even from a digital screen.
