Fresh off an epic mini-solo tour, Neil Young returned to his old stomping grounds to reunite Crazy Horse for two back-to-back concerts at two different historic theaters in Winnipeg, Canada. This is the first time the band took the stage together since last May's California reunion. The current Crazy Horse formation is consisted of Young, bassist Billy Talbot, drummer Ralph Molina and guitarist Nils Lofgren.
The first of the two took place at Burton Cummings Theatre, where Uncle Neil opened the evening with a six-song solo performance before bringing out Crazy Horse. The solo portion of the performance saw Young performing "Distant Camera" for the first time since 1999. He also performed other beloved classics like "Heart of Gold," "Old King," and his new song "Green is Blue," which he recently live debuted.
Once Crazy Horse joined the stage, Young plugged in and got LOUD. There was no hesitation as they rocked out together like old pals do. First song for the band was "Love to Burn" followed by "Mansion on the Hill." The 11-song Crazy Horse set carried old favorites like "Cortez the Killer" and "Cinnamon Girl," and also deep cuts like "Winterlong," "Speakin' Out," and "Love and Only Love." For the encore, they concluded with none other than "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)."

The second night took place at Centennial Hall in a similar fashion, with Young performing seven songs solo. He opened up with "Out on the Weekend" and concluded with "Journey Through the Past" before going electric with Crazy Horse. NYCH wasted no time diving into "Rockin' in the Free World."
They surprised fans by dusting off "Danger Bird" for the first time since 2013, and then more so when they covered one of Young's old bands, The Shocking Pinks, for the first time since 1996 with "Wonderin'." To conclude their two-night stint, Crazy Horse performed two songs for a grand encore: "Like a Hurricane" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)," - both classic NYCH set enders.
Up next for the 73-year-old rocker is a slew of solo gigs and double shows with Promise of the Real in the Pacific Northwest.
