After the massive success of their North American tour, Queen and Adam Lambert have gone global and are currently touring in Japan for the next leg of their “The Rhapsody Tour.”
Queen’s original lead singer Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991 and the band paired up with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert to pay tribute to the late singer.
Queen opened up the 2019 Oscar Awards with Adam Lambert as their lead vocalist and this sparked the tour that now is selling out all over the world.
The North American tour kicked off in July 2019 and has now continued to Japan. The first show was on January 25, 2020, in Saitama, Japan at the Saitama Super Arena.
Queen and Adam Lambert’s average set has consisted of 27 songs and two encore songs. They have been playing classics such as “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You” and “Somebody to Love.” They also have played songs from tape and included late Freddie Mercury on screen at the end of one of their songs.
Take a look at some of the tour’s highlights so far!

One of the most unique parts of the Japan tour was how the band set up the stage. According to the rockinon.com, “Each stage plays an important part of the story, with the stage changing dynamically, with scenes developing every few songs.” The decorations and lighting both helped make their performances stand out.
